Choose skin-care products that are fragrance free- The word “fragrance” on a label can encompass 3,000 ingredients. So although it lists only one word, there are multiple other ingredients that it includes. Yuck!
Keep a break-out journal- note what foods that you eat so you can try to figure out what triggers your breakouts. Learning what triggers breakouts is a great way to preventing them.
Clean your phone- We set our cell phones here and there, we touch them with our hands, we throw them in our gym bags and then we touch them to our face. All this bacteria then gets settled on to our face. If you have breakouts in the cheek and chin region, your phone may be your culprit!
Switch your hair products- Use hair products that are fragrance free and harsh chemical-free. Your hair hits your face, and the product gets sweated out of our hair and into our pores (think hairline and forehead breakouts). Your pharmacist usually carries a brand behind the counter that does not require a prescription.
Don’t pick at your face- You will flare up whatever it is you have going on even more! Leave your face or schedule a facial that includes extractions so a professional can de-gunk your pores in with the right tools (your fingers are not the right tool)!
